I assumed it was a power issue, most likely the PSU since I used surge protection – but that’s going off the issue! Answered on Nov 10, Your motherboard has a 6-channel non-HD audio, consequently you might have probably downloaded drivers meant for 2 or 4 channel or HD ones. That are I just got a little lazy while using google. It wasn’t your mobo and probably has nothing to do with your symtoms

The headphones and my setup has been confirmed on another motherboard which works fine am I allowed to say it is a Gigabyte one here? I’m convinced that if it is a bad connection then it is on the motherboard since I get exactly the same fault if nothing sounr all is connected to the mic – in fact if no speakers or mic are connected I get the same feedback issue.

Answered on Oct 13, It appeared to work for a minute or two and then the problem returned – which seemed very odd, but I presumed I’d been mistaken that things looked to be working OK!

I was always a Gnome fan in the early days and I’ve found Morphix suond hardware compatible. I have also been into the volume control and added the Microphone to the Playback controls, then muted it as suggested in a Microsoft article relating to Troubleshooting Conferencing Applications.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions they’d be most welcome. Usually you will see a “USB1” labeled next to the pins that you would connect the wires to. Les Dickinson Level 3 Expert Answers.

What version of windows or Linux are you running? If I move onto the next page and cause the computer to create an error ding then the feedback k4tav the Recording and Playback causes the level to build unti the volume on the Recording is set to minimum but the levels are still in the red. Having hooked up the unit correctly there is very little volume to the sound input even when it is set to maximum.
This is even with nothing connected to sojnd sound connectors on the back of the motherboard.
