It seems to be a good burner overall.
The hard drive didn’t show up at all – neither in the Disk Management nor in the Jmircon Manager. It works fine with the new PSU. Are the ‘servers’ on known bad power or on a UPS? I can live with it being in the older format instead of libsata as I don’t need any fancy features NCQ, hotswap from asuus. Ok, it clearly looks like a motherboard failure.

Looks like the culprit was the PSU. And yes, I realise that with DevOps servers this might not succeed. The primary slot functions at full x16 speeds while the secondary slot operates at either PCIe x2 or x4 modes.
Or, get in touch with ASUS; their tech support is reliable as a rule, even out-of-warranty, and they can likely tell you if it’s a hardware failure. If it is the configuration then download the manual and go to page 5. Probably with the new hard drive because my others all worked, right? However, the mouse cursor was lagging behind and whenever I played audio or video – be it a YouTube video or an actual video in VLC – it lagged there as well. There are only those 4 drives and the system was on the RAID volume too.
